With 15 or more weddings under the belt we have come to the end of our 2015/16 wedding season. Each has been unique and gorgeous: some brides have walked down the aisle with their dads and somewith their mums, some have married in the round and some in rows looking at the mountain, some have eaten lamb spit and some vegetarian dishes - with pavlovas and homemade ice-cream this year’s desserts of choice. Decor has on the whole been muted with Fynbos flowers, sometimes mixed with exotics like roses, in relaxed bunch on the tables. Everyone has made good use of the loveliness of the summer farm to enhance their day.
Here are some spring weddings. The summer weddings will be featured over a few posts to follow. Sometimes we haven’t been about to get the professional photographs in time so some pics are our own.

Fynbos Estate is a fantastic venue for a laid-back couple wanting a true Swartland style weekend wedding.
We asked for a Greek style feast and that we received. We had delicious dolmades and spanakopitas with post-ceremony drinks and succulent lamb shanks to die for served buffet style at dinner. Delicious red wine, coffee and cheesecake!
Almost no decorations are needed as the beautiful farmhouse and its gardens serve as the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding ceremony.
The reception area is a rustic, blank canvas that you can decorate as you wish - ideal for those wanting to get creative.
The farm grounds are dreamy and perfect for taking beautiful wedding snaps and enjoying time with friends and family.
The accommodation on the farm is stunning - we loved staying here and will certainly return for another fun-filled weekend! We also enjoyed the breakfast served on the veranda on the Sunday morning.
Gail truly executed everything I asked for as planned; The rest of the staff was truly incredible; and very efficient.
Thanks for everything; we will definitely recommend Fynbos Estate as a wedding venue to others.
