We began with brunch for people and companies in the area whose help has been invaluable over the last years Then at around 2 pm, as some drifted out and some drifted in, Peter, Kerryn and Nikki took to the `stage’ in the garden to music fit to play most beautiful music. All the while guests tucked into `koek en quiche’ and of course drinks of various kinds.
By 5 o’clock when Bluerocracy began to play their blues, things had moved to the pavilion area with folk sitting on the lawns by the pool. And then as dark arrived the dancing began in earnest with OFF the Record our favourite rock band playing. `Jissis’ said one band member. `Die boere kan maar gooi’
Indeed we can. Thank you all who participated in making the day marvellous and memorable – and stress free too. We reckon Denis Gerry Ray and Jack for whom the Simson-Simons Reserve is named would have been smiling.
