Make use of the Virtual Museum

http://vmus.adu.org.za/

When following the link in relation to butterflies ( see blog post above), I discovered the Virtual Museum for the first time. The Virtual Museum, developed by UCT’s Animal Demography Unit, provides the platform for members of the public to contribute to biodiversity projects. People are encouraged to submit digital photographs, along with certain basic information. Species identifications are then confirmed by a panel of experts. Distribution maps for each species are also available. If you spend time in nature with your camera, perhaps you might want to send photographs to them for identification http://vmus.adu.org.za
