IDEAS TO KEEP YOUR WEDDING BUDGET AFFORDABLE

I'm getting married in December and believe me it is not cheap! I've discovered a couple of things that really can make a cost difference.

IDEAS TO KEEP YOUR WEDDING BUDGET AFFORDABLE

Have a breakfast wedding
An earlier wedding with brunch means that guests won't drink so much alcohol and your menu will be lighter and less expensive than a formal dinner.

Keep the guest list short
A couple often feels pressure to invite vague acquaintances and people you haven’t seen for years. Be selective and remember this is your day. Cut the list down and only invite people that you see and that mean something to you.

Wed out of season
Peak season will always be popular -- and pricier. Why not be different? Have a winter wedding, red wine, candlelight and a raging fire think how beautiful it could be and far more affordable.

Wedding cake for dessert
Cut your cake and serve it as dessert. Just think of all the yummy options. Chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, cheesecake or red velvet . . .

Keep the menu simple
Rather serve a beautifully prepared yet simple meal than a bad attempt at something fancy. Try serving something like burgers or fish and chips and theme the event accordingly just think how original it would be!

REMEMBER TO CALL ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY
People close to you won't mind helping and it's such a wonderful bonding experience to have your loved ones participating.
